I Drank CBD Coffee for a Week. Here's What It Did to my Focus Levels and Anxiety

My 5 Day Coffee Experiment
Day 1-Feeling focused and Questioning Placebo
It is a beautiful day in Portland, OR. CBD has been making its way into almost every local grocery store, caffe, and convenient store located all around Portland.
As I brew my fresh Prosper Coffee at home in my Chemex coffee brewer, I then add 30mg-40mg of CBD to start my day. Most people take 20mg of CBD, I wanted to feel the effects and benefits of CBD even more so.
On day 1, I decided to add 20mg of water soluble CBD into my Prosper Coffee. I have a long day ahead of me, so I know how vital it is for my productivity level to be high. Today, I didn't noticed any significant differences in my body or my mind.
Day 2- Feeling observant, alert, yet relaxed
I have struggled with ADD my whole entire life, so I have been wanting to take CBD to help me focus more. CBD is found to help every individual differently, since everyones body is different.
I'm a full time entrepreneur and student, so I am quite busy and stressed out. I wake up at 7am and work until around 10pm at night. I am sure many of you can relate to a busy schedule.
As I finish my cup of coffee I noticed that it took around 30 minutes to an hour for me to start feeling the effects of CBD. I noticed that I became more observant, alert, yet my body relaxed after my body digested the CBD. I know that since I have only tried this for one day, I wasn't going to have the most prominent results; however, I knew that consistency could reap many benefits.
Day 3- CBD Not Making Me Sleepy
I woke up in my apartment downtown Portland, and I began to brew my first cup of coffee for the day.
I took CBD before I went to bed (without coffee) and felt like it made my body relaxed and I was little bit sleepy after an hour of taking the CBD. However, this morning I wanted to add CBD to help me focus a little bit more. I like adding CBD to my coffee because it masks the taste of the oil.
I noticed that CBD helped my body to relax in the nighttime; however, this morning when infusing my coffee with the water soluble CBD I found that it made me alert (as I also found on day 1 and 2). In contrast to ingesting it at night without coffee, I found that it did not make me sleepy when drinking it with coffee, due to the caffeine from the coffee.
Day 4- Finally Seeing Prominent Results with Decrease In Anxiety
Every morning, I wake up with severe anxiety. Whether it is about the tasks that I have to do, relationship struggles, or a fear of the unknown I often wake up with the horrific feeling of anxiety or fear. Ever since I was a little girl, I have woken up with this unrestful feeling.
On Day 4, I brewed up my Prosper Coffee and added 20mg of CBD and Oatly oat milk into my coffee. For those of you who haven't tried oat milk, you need to try this. It is delicious.
I found that I was starting to see the results of CBD. I felt more alert, focused, and less anxious. I've had an anxiety disorder for most of my life and when overwhelmed with these feelings I break out in rashes, have feelings of lightheadedness and lack of control, and physical effects of my body tensing up and almost becoming "paralyzed".
I noticed that taking CBD may have reduced my anxiety levels. When I take the CBD it takes around an hour or more for the CBD to digest; however, my body does start to feel more relaxed and at ease- even with the caffeine from the coffee.
Day 5- Feeling Less Anxious, More Focused, & Alert
This morning I woke up, and I felt excited that I was finally starting to see and feel results. I decided to walk to my nearest Portland Coffee Shop and get an iced cold brew. However, when I came back home I brewed myself another cup of Prosper Coffee and infused it with 30mg of CBD. I wanted to make sure that I was going to get my daily dose of CBD, since best results are shown with consistency.
On Day 4, I noticed that my anxiety levels/ my body felt more calm. I was thrilled to drink another cup of my CBD Coffee to see how it made me feel today.
Day 5 made me realize the benefits of CBD. When I have anxiety, my body goes into shock mode. However, the CBD helps reduce those feelings of anxiety and helps your body stay calm. I drank my Prosper Coffee and immediately felt alert. Then 30 minutes to 1 hour later, I found my body feeling at ease, more focused, and alert.
The benefits of CBD is due to the nature of where it is derived from. Since CBD comes from hemp, there are many medicinal benefits that are also found in it, but they are non-psychoactive. If you are looking for a non-psychoactive hemp product, this definitely is the product for you.
Overall, I loved CBD Coffee. As mentioned above, consistency is key. If you want to see real results for managing anxiety or increase in focus, then you will have to try this product and keep it in your lifestyle habits consistently.
