Prosper Coffee Company is a cold brew coffee company located in Portland, OR. Our beans are Directly Traded from a farm in Ethiopia. Some consumers ask, "What the heck does that mean?" Direct Trade means that we buy straight from our growers. We have decided to cut off the middleman buyers from Organizations, to provide more of an income for our growers. Ethics is one of our top priorities; this means every business decision must maintain ethical practices along the supply chain.
To have accurate caffeine results, we decided to partner with Biogin Laboratory Developments, LLC to test the caffeine content in our coffee. Our cold brew coffee contains 226mg of caffeine per 100g.
The high caffeine content is due to the brewing process. Cold brew coffee is brewed between 10-24 hours. What most consumers don't know, is that caffeine content is also traced back to the origin of the coffee. We have tested several different origins, and based off of the results we found that our Ethiopian origin contains the highest caffeine content.
We have created a process that infuses Prosper Coffee Co.’s cold brew coffee with CBD Hemp Oil.
CBD hemp oil includes fatty acids, protein, fiber, vitamin & Minerals, chlorophyll, flavonoids, and terpenes. CBD is used to treat acne, alzheimer’s disease, type 1 diabetes, pain, reduce anxiety and depression, and help reduce inflammation and risk of cancer. CBD is a cannabinoid; however, this is not psychoactive. It will not leave you with a “high”.
Our company was founded in Portland, OR, so we desired to embrace the Portland culture. That is why we offer cannabis-based menu options. Our customers are extremely health conscious. We infuse our ground coffee with this CBD Hemp oil to help them with pain, inflammation, and more. We recognize that THC can be harmful, so that is why our ground coffee is made with no THC added.
We are brining innovations to the coffee industry.
No. As of right now, we only carry one product with CBD.
You bet! Caffeine is used to stimulate brain function, boost energy levels, and protect the body against inflammation and diseases; so, of course coffee is a health beverage! Caffeine has been a very controversial subject, but our coffee recognizes that caffeine affects people differently.
We only use beans where the producers (farmers) are treated fairly. The producers are the ones who enable us to drink coffee. They harvest the coffee cherries, dry the beans, and then put them in the mill. They deserve credit!
A healthy lifestyle includes ethics. This is why sourcing is included in our definition.
